Piñata gambling limits, breaks and support

Piñata includes deposit limits, an age-based annual loss limit and tools to interrupt gambling. You can set amounts below the account maximums, pause access or seek specialist support. Gambling is restricted to adults aged 18 or over and should not be used to generate income, meet debts or recover losses.

The annual loss limit by age

Piñata’s annual limit policy uses deposits minus withdrawals during the calendar year. The ceiling depends on age and applies across the Paf group brands Paf, Piñata, Golden Bull and Speedybet. Opening a new session or changing brands does not reset the counter.

AgeAnnual ceilingWhen reached
18–19€1,800No further deposits until 1 January
20–24€6,000No further deposits until 1 January
25 and over€15,000No further deposits until 1 January

These are the operator’s protective maximums. They do not describe what any individual can afford to lose. A personal gambling budget may be zero and does not need to approach the platform ceiling.

Example of the calculation basis

If €400 is deposited and €150 withdrawn during a year, the difference is €250. This explains the limit calculation; it is not total wagering, which may be higher if the same balance is repeatedly staked.

Reducing deposit limits

The stated starting limits are €600 daily, €1,500 weekly and €3,000 monthly. They apply together: remaining daily allowance does not override a weekly or monthly ceiling. The €10 minimum deposit is a separate condition, covered in payment methods.

The limit settings allow reductions with immediate effect. Choose an amount that leaves rent, bills, savings and other essential spending outside gambling risk. Make that decision before a session rather than allowing its outcome to determine the budget.

Increasing a limit involves checks and waiting periods; it is not a way to recover losses. Assessment requirements, promotion restrictions and shared limits continue to apply. If the main reason for raising it is to continue after losing, a break provides more direct protection.

Taking a break, blocking categories or self-excluding

These tools have different scopes. A short break interrupts access for a period; category blocking restricts particular products; self-exclusion prevents gambling during the selected term. Choose the measure according to what you need to stop and read its duration before confirming.

ToolPurposeUseful check
Personal limitRestrict amountsConfigured amount and period
Temporary breakInterrupt sessionsStart and end of the break
Category blockingPrevent access to certain gamesProducts included
Self-exclusionPrevent access for a periodScope and exclusion conditions

Piñata describes breaks starting at 24 hours and longer options, including several weeks and up to six months. The option displayed in your account determines the specific term. If you need help applying it, contact the operator’s responsible gambling channel or customer support.

Self-exclusion through the RGIAJ

The General Register of Gambling Access Prohibitions provides protection beyond an individual account. Registration requires operators subject to the relevant checks to prevent gambling access by the registered person.

Registration is indefinite. Being able to request cancellation after six months does not mean it automatically expires at that point. Read the official application channels and document requirements; avoid intermediaries claiming to bypass or remove an exclusion.

Account self-exclusion and RGIAJ registration are different procedures. If your aim is to stop access beyond one brand, compare each measure’s scope using the DGOJ’s safer gambling information.

Specialist support and reasons to stop

Chasing losses, hiding the time or money spent gambling, using borrowed money or neglecting responsibilities are reasons to stop and seek support. You do not need to reach a platform limit to ask for help. A promotion or loyalty level is never a reason to continue when gambling is causing problems.

FEJAR provides information and support for gambling problems in Spain; its helpline is 900 200 225. Piñata’s official safer gambling support page includes additional resources. The operator’s responsible gambling line, 900 533 025, is separate from FEJAR’s service.

If you are concerned about someone close to you, describe concrete observations and offer to accompany them when contacting a professional resource. There is no need to debate whether one final bet could recover money: the immediate aim is to reduce access and protect essential spending.

Piñata’s risk controls may also restrict promotions or participation in Puntos Piñata. Those restrictions should not be treated as an invitation to find another account for the same incentive.
